NEW DELHI: Union minister for minority affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi warned that any “conspiracy” against the country’s composite culture by those resorting to cyber crime to trigger disharmony will not succeed. Asserting that the government has taken action in the Bulli Bai app matter, he said such targeting of women was unacceptable.
He reiterated that “stern action is being taken against criminals involved in such a deplorable act and their “communal conspiracy” will be exposed soon. When asked what he meant by a conspiracy, Naqvi said the nature of targeting through this app shows that some people with nefarious designs are involved in a conspiracy to “defame” India. He was quick to add that such criminal elements will never be allowed to succeed.
