Jersey‘ withdrew, last week. ‘RRR’ dropped out of the race on Sunday. And now, ‘Radhe Shyam‘ is also leaning towards postponement albeit gradually.

ETimes has it that the makers of this Prabhas-Pooja Hegde starrer, which has scheduled for release on January 14, are having their fair share of discussions on whether to go ahead with the film, next Friday. ETimes had a word with the film’s director, late last evening.

Radha Krishna Kumar, who has wielded the megaphone for ‘Radhe Shyam’ said they have no plans yet to postpone the movie but when prodded further, he said, “If the situation worsens…” and trailed off.

Unfortunately, with the COVID numbers only on the rise since the past one week and a lot of theatres shutting down or reducing the number of their shows, it seems unlikely that the makers would jump in to risk the commercial viability of the project. Whispers are already agog that ‘Radhe Shyam’ is not releasing on January 14, 2022.
