Jacqueline Fernandez hit headlines recently when her name cropped up during the questioning of conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, which is being probed by the Enforcement Directorate in an alleged 200-crore money laundering case. Sukesh reportedly gave a lot of expensive gifts to Jacqueline, which have been seized by the investigating agency. Cozy pictures of Sukesh and Jacqueline had also gone viral on the internet.

In the latest development, the conman has alleged that he was dating Jacqueline Fernandez. In a letter he wrote to his advocate from the jail, Sukesh has claimed that he was in a relationship with Jacqueline and that’s why he had given her so many gifts, revealed indiatoday. Defending the actress, he has also stated that the Bollywood actress has got nothing to do with his case. Sukesh Chandrashekhar had also reportedly claimed that his friends in Bollywood are being targeted to defame him so that he can’t do any business related to films in the future. The ED has questioned Jacqueline multiple times in this case and her statement has also been recorded in the charge sheet. “I have been speaking to Sukesh since February 2017. In August 2021, he was arrested, after which I never met him. He told me that he is the owner of Sun TV and from the political family of Jayalalithaa,” Jacqueline told the ED, according to the charge sheet. The actress also mentioned that her sister took a loan of $1,50,000 from Chandrasekhar and accepted that he transferred around Rs 15 lakh to the account of her brother who lives in Australia.

Apart from Jacqueline Fernandez, the conman had also given several expensive gifts to Nora Fatehi too. Sukesh Chandrasekhar had also disclosed his association with other Bollywood celebrities like Shraddha Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty and Harman Baweja. In his disclosure statement, Chandrasekhar had told ED that he knew actor Harman Baweja and was planning to co-produce his next movie ‘Captain’ starring Kartik Aryan. Chandrasekhar’s disclosure statement also mentioned that he had contacted Shilpa Shetty for her husband Raj Kundra’s conditional release.
